1. Interpretations
1.1
‘The
Customer’, means the person whom places the order for the Sale of Goods 1.2
‘The
Goods’, means the Goods (including any installment of the goods or any parts
for them) which the Company is to supply in accordance with these Terms and
Conditions 1.3
‘The
Contract’, means an order of Goods placed by the Customer which is accepted by
the Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd) 1.4
‘The
Conditions’, means the standard Terms and Conditions of business set out
within this document and will include any special terms to be agreed in writing
between the Customer and the Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd). 2.
Basis of Sale
2.1 The
Company reserves the right to amend the prices and specifications of Goods
without prior notice 2.2 All
published literature has the correct prices at the time of going to press and
the Company reserves the right to change these at any time 2.3
All the specifications given to the Customer are approximate and intended
as guidelines only. 3. Terms of Payment 3.1 The
Customer is required to pay the full total of the Goods prior to dispatch,
unless otherwise agreed by the Customer and the Company (Southport architectural
salvage ltd) 3.2 Payment
to the Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd) may be made by cash
(delivered in person or recorded delivery only), personal cheque or Bankers
draft 3.3 Once
Customers payment is received, an invoice will be forwarded to the delivery
address. 4. Delivery Terms 4.2 Any dates quoted for delivery of
Goods are approximate 4.3 Should
the Customer fail to take delivery of the Goods, the Company shall store the
Goods for a limited time and charge the Buyer for additional delivery costs 4.4 The
Customer will be responsible for complying with any legislation of regulations
governing the importation of Goods into the country of destination and for the
payment of any duties and all other charges thereon. 5. Cancellation 5.1 No
order placed by the Customer to the Company (Southport architectural salvage
ltd) may be cancelled except with the agreement in writing and in the
understanding that the Customer shall pay 20% of the total price of the Goods 5.2 Following
delivery of the Goods, cancellation by the Customer will not be accepted by the
Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd). 6. Warranties & Liability 6.1 All
Goods prior to being dispatched to the Customer will have satisfactorily met the
Company’s (Southport architectural salvage ltd) own product inspection report 6.2 Should
for any reason the Customer does not find the Goods to meet their satisfaction,
written notice should be made to the Company (Southport architectural salvage
ltd) within 7 days on receipt of the goods.
On receipt of the written notice, the Company (Southport architectural
salvage ltd) will then at its own discretion: 6.2.1 Replace or
repair any part of the Goods found not to meet the warranty or 6.2.2 Take back
the Goods that do not meet the warranty and refund the Customer with the
appropriate part of the purchase. 6.3 In
association with 6.2.1 and 6.2.2, the Customer will be liable for any delivery
costs in returning the Goods and the Goods must not have been modified, altered
or tampered with in any way 6.4 The
Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd) will not hold any liability for
damages incurred by the Customer or any third parties during the installation of
Goods 6.5 The
Company (Southport architectural salvage ltd) will guarantee that at the time of
delivery the goods will be free from defects in workmanship 6.6 Due
to original materials used for the production of most Goods, the Company
(Southport Architectural Salvage Ltd)) will not be liable for small general
defects in the finish of the metals used; the Customer will be made aware of
these defects before a Contract is agreed with the Customer.
